This is a wonderful opportunity to bond with your child while experiencing the benefits of yoga. You will learn calming, gentle movements and breathing exercises that helps create strength and awareness in you and your child. It’s also an amazing way to connect with other mothers or fathers and explore the joys of parenthood. At Ha Yoga, we give you and your child personalized attention in a small class setting. We don’t want you to feel any expectation or pressure–just relax and have fun! Don’t worry about fussing/tantrums/crying. Every baby is welcome, and you won’t be ruining another person’s yoga experience because your child is fussy. Every mommy goes through it! We’re a very welcoming environment. Ha Yoga’s Mommy and Me yoga classes are a warm and welcoming environment for new or experienced mothers (and dads!) We create comfortable setting so you can feel at ease asking any questions, discussing your concerns or just sharing fun stories about your child with other yoga-loving parents. This class is designed to strengthen the bond between you and your child while practicing yoga in an encouraging environment. Whether you’re new to yoga or an experienced yogi, we welcome you!

Is This Safe for My Baby and Me? 

Absolutely! Ha Yoga’s Momma and Me yoga class is led by Nikki Brewer, who has taught yoga for the past 5 years and has spent over 20 years working as a midwives assistant and Doula. She has 3 boys of her own and has been asked to present at multiple prenatal workshops. Research has shown that infants who are introduced to gentle movement and rhythmic techniques early on have more confidence and strength with crawling and walking. Mommy and me yoga classes are also good for your baby’s joints, muscles, and spine. And momma’s get benefits too! Yoga can help strengthen your lower back and pelvis post-baby as well as aid you in getting your body back into shape. Ha Yoga is committed to the safety of both you and your child, which is why this is such a gentle class. You and your little one will experience tender movement and relaxing postures while interacting with other parents!
